Family Photography

Each day as my boys walk past their photos hanging on our wall, they’re reminded of how they’ve grown. My boys, once so little and cute are now young men, well on their way to adulthood.

Our family photos tell our story, our triumphs and struggles and how much we’ve all evolved. Photos are a reminder of our last family holiday in Wales, right before my oldest son transformed into a young man. Our family photos evoke a sense of pride, sentimentality and belonging, especially for my boys.

My biggest regret is waiting until the boys were 7 and 10 years old to have our first professional family photo. Sure, I have snapshots, but I wish I’d invested in professional family portraits when they were little. I wish there were photos of a ‘younger’ me with my little boys, when they were chubby and mischievous toddlers. But my biggest wish is that I’d been in more photos with them. Because memories fade so easily, don’t they? And in the future, when my boys are grown men with families of their own, I wonder if they’ll remember their childhood with me.

When parents resist being in a photo, I remind them of my regret. Be in the photo for your kids! Because in 10 years, you’ll look back and realise how young and fantastic you looked. But importantly, your kids will remember you were there too. And that is a priceless keepsake.

Booking Your Family Photography Session

A family session fee is $150 for a weekday or $250 for a weekend session. The session fee is due at the time of your booking to secure your date and you have the choice of a beautiful outdoor location in the Blue Mountains or a studio portrait session for your family.

Your session fee includes the following goodies:

• $100 print credit towards your purchases.
• A planning session via phone call so we can design the perfect family photography session.
• My helpful guide to prepare you for your family session, complete with fashion and styling advice.
• A personal photographic shoot that captures each of your family member’s unique and individual personalities.
• An in-person cinematic presentation of your images.
• A design consultation to help you choose the perfect artwork for your home.

On the day of your family session we’ll meet at the studio, or if you’ve opted for the outdoors, one of my stunning locations in the Blue Mountains area. The family session lasts for a relaxed and fun-filled hour and the focus is on capturing authentic moments between your family members.

There are no awkward poses and fake smiles, just real moments of affection. We’ll laugh and chat while I document your family’s natural interaction. The connections, the laughter, the cuddles, and all the moments in between. These are the memories you and your children will cherish in years to come.

After The Session – Choosing Your Keepsakes

This is the exciting part! You’ll return to the studio approximately 1 week after your session for a cinematic presentation of your stunning images. After you’ve enjoyed the show, we’ll go through my range of handpicked, handcrafted, professional products.

These products will transform your house into a home and fill you with love every time you look at them. All professional products are manufactured in Australia and are of the highest standard.

I offer a range of products to suit all tastes and budgets, including fine art matted print sets, framed art prints, canvas wall art, woodblocks, acrylic prints, montage, wall collections and premium heirloom albums. And you receive the matching digital files with all your print and wall art purchases.

Clients typically invest between $875-$4000 on their photography purchases. Payment plans and Payright are available so you can create your memories now and pay later.
