An amazing NYE for the wedding of Jason & Caroline in Bathurst. Ceremony at the very grand and beautiful Abercrombie House, which was extra special because Jason’s ancestors were the original owners (see pics below). Then back to Rydges on Mount Panorama for the party!
A special valentine story of love ♥ by Caroline…
Jason and I met at the wedding of some dear friends, in the beautiful surrounds of Port Douglas. Some how Jason talked me into driving back to Cairns with him in a mates dusty, noisy 4×4 while my girlfriend and traveling partner returned in a Limo. Jason and I only spent a few days together before he had to go back to Northern WA and me to Northern QLD. I had never been an emotional person but while dropping Jason at the airport we both shed a tear or two. In such a short time there was no doubting we had made a strong connection. I will never forget how I felt watching him leave that day. We spoke on the phone every day, the record was a full 8 hours in one call. (equivalent to a days work). We spent thousands on phone bills and within 3 months Jason had moved to QLD. Jason proposed to me on the lovely Long Island in the Whitsundays. We took a bottle of wine to the end of the jetty where we watched turtles and fish as the sun set, he leaned down to fill my wine glass but produced a ring instead! Jason is the love of my life and I am so grateful to be able to share life’s journey with him.
